The power of Thór

A production of a full feature animated film demands a lot from the people working on it and of course technology and the equipment used. A specialized software is needed as well as solutions made inhouse at CAOZ, programmed by our skilled people. All this takes part in drawing the film from the minds of the author, directors and artists and project it on the silver screen.

Each frame in the film is over 5 megabytes in size, but that is not all. To finalize each frame, data is created that is twenty times the size of each frame. In a production like THÓR the whole amount of data created is therefore tens of terrabytes in size.

To maximize each computer and the work output of our employees we store our computers centrally so a special central software can use the extra capacity of each computer to work on calculations. A central storage also reduces a lot of noise that usually is associated with working computers.

So even though THÓR the son of the gods wasn’t born in the 21st century the latest technology is used in telling his story.

Until next time
